The Nantahala Baking & Coffee Co hosted the January 2013 meeting of Venture Local Franklin [web] [Facebook] in their shop at 335 East Main Street in Franklin, NC tonight. About two dozen local entrepreneurs attended. They reviewed the efforts of 2012 and set their minds to working on things that they want to accomplish in 2013. Members of Venture Local Franklin attended the meeting of the Franklin Main Street Program Board meeting and invited their members to attend tonight's meeting, but none of them attended.
The members of Venture Local Franklin discussed how could continue to generate interest in shopping local through variety of means, including holding more StreetFests, Mini-Festivals and other grass root initiatives.
The next meeting will be at 6:30pm on February 12, 2013 at the Main Street Piz Zeria [Facebook] located at 409 Depot Street in Franklin, NC. Come on down and join the fun!
